おお！あなたのこの強い力はどんな力から手に入れたのだろうか
欠点によってわたしの心を支配する力は？
わたしの見る真実から目をそらさせ
必ずしも明るい光が一日を輝かしいものにするわけではないと言わせる力は？
あなたは邪悪なのにどのようにして優美さを身に着けたのだろう？
あなたの忌まわしい行為には
そんな強さと巧みな手管が伴っていて
わたしから見るとあなたの最悪の部分はどんな最善の部分にも勝っている、
一体だれがあなたにわたしが益々あなたを愛するようになる術を教えたのだろう？
憎しみを持たれるのが当然のしぐさを見たり聞いたりすればするほど益々、
おお！わたしがほかのひとたちが嫌うものを愛するとしても
