あなたがわたしを軽んじ
わたしの価値を蔑むようになる時が来ても
わたしはあなたの側に立ってわたし自身を責め
あなたが裏切ったとしてもあなたが有徳の士であることを証明するだろう、
わたしは自分の至らなさをわきまえているので
隠された過ちについてはわたしに責任があるということを
あなたの立場に立って述べることができるだろう
それによってあなたはわたしを失うがそれにまさる栄誉をかち得るだろう、
そしてこれによりわたしもまた勝者となるだろう
わたしはあなたを心から愛するのであり
わたしが自分自身を傷つけたとしても
